YouTube privacy and terms.
How public YouTube statistics appear on OVA.
Public channel information
OVA uses YouTube API Services to retrieve the public channel ID, handle, subscriber count, total views and public video count for channels entered by approved creators. We use those values to display channel statistics on creator cards and profiles. A creator's channel link does not establish ownership.
Our server sends the channel handle or ID to Google and stores the latest statistics in OVA's Supabase database. We normally refresh daily. Unrefreshed snapshots are cleared by the scheduled worker after 29 days and are never displayed after 30 days. Removed links stop displaying immediately. Statistics are public; they contain no private YouTube analytics.
Viewing these statistics does not connect your Google account or authorize OVA to manage a channel. Your OVA session, email and private moderation records are not sent to the YouTube statistics API. This feature runs on our server without a YouTube player, advertising script or browser tracking request. Following a YouTube link takes you to Google's service, which has its own cookies and policies.
Your choice
We store a first-party preference cookie for 30 days to remember that you agreed to this notice and enabled YouTube statistics. You can turn them off below or clear that cookie in your browser. Creators can remove their public YouTube link in Your brand. Google account connections are managed separately in Connected accounts and through Google account permissions.
Terms for this feature
By enabling and using YouTube statistics on OVA, you agree to this privacy notice and the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Counts may be delayed or unavailable, and subscriber counts are rounded by YouTube. OVA does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by YouTube.
